The path to becoming an instructor
The first step is a programme which includes both self-study at a distance and a four-day course at a training centre. The focus is on basic physiology and exercise theory as well on Friskis&Svettis values and views on exercise.
Warning of existential and physical training pain!
The first step is followed by an exercise training course, which specialise in the type of class the instructor will be leading. Many of the training courses are done remotely as well as on site in Sweden. The duration of the training varies between 2-5 days, depending on the type of training. The extensive feedback will focus on the skills and techniques to develop leadership and guiding skills.
The instructor shapes Friskis&Svettis training
The instructors in Friskis&Svettis add their personality to the class framework by filling it with their own songs, movements and ideas. Instead of teaching a ready-made workout, each leader's commitment is maximised based on how they want to shape the session.
150 training courses per year
All Friskis&Svettis training programmes are developed and implemented by Friskis&Svettis Riks, so we can make sure that all leaders and trainers have the same solid knowledge base. In one year, we hold about 150 different courses, inspiration days, specialisations and conventions with a total of almost 6000 instructors, coaches and hosts!
