Prepare for Autumn

It's almost September, and we have some exciting things in store! The final schedule is now on the website, and you can check out the highlights for the Autumn semester here.

Read on for details of how to join our increased offer in the Council, information on the new venues and intensities, and a Friskis surprise…

New sessions in the Council: how to register

Our offer at the Council will expand to four days per week, giving you more chance to follow your favourite session: Monday, Wednesday and Friday lunchtimes, and Tuesday evening.

VERY IMPORTANT: Access to the Council building is restricted for security reasons. If you are interested in attending sessions at the Council and don’t already have access, you have two options:

You work for the EU institutions: you can go to the accreditation desks at the entrance of the Justus Lipsius building to activate your service badge for one year’s access.

You don’t work for the institutions: send an email to info@friskis.be with your name, address and Friskis membership number before 6 September to be added to the access list for this semester.

New venues

We will be starting sessions at two new locations from the first week of September:

Emergence XL (Rue du Sceptre 13/19, 1050 Ixelles): you can enjoy Jympa sessions with Alice and Rosita on Tuesday and Thursday at lunchtime

Ecole Nouvelle (Rue de l'Hôtel des Monnaies 128B, 1060 Saint-Gilles): you can follow Multifys with Fleur at 7pm on Wednesday, and Jympa with Sophie at 6:30pm on Thursday

We’re happy to be expanding to new areas – don’t hesitate to let your friends who live in these areas know. Non-members can try one session for free, and the sessions at Ecole Nouvelle will be free for everyone for the whole month of September

New intensities and instructors

Daniela and Lene have now received their Pilates licences, and are ready to roll! Pilates is a workout focusing on building strength, stability, mobility, balance and body control through focused movements, often coordinated with breath. You can try it out on Mondays at Hiel (Schaarbeek) and Sundays in Mounier (Woluwé).

Rachel will be giving her Spinning licensing session on 7 September at 7:30pm in Jims Etterbeek. As always, licensing sessions are free for everyone – so bring a friend to support her!

And now…FRISKIS BINGO!

We promised to end with a surprise: we're starting the new semester with a...BINGO! Put your muscles and Friskis spirit to the test by completing the squares on the Friskis bingo card. It's the perfect way to break the routine and try out different Friskis sessions and venues - and win prizes! The more squares you get and the faster you get them, the bigger the prize.

Ask your host, contact info@friskis.be or reach out to us on Facebook or Instagram to get your Friskis Bingo card. The game runs from 1 September till the end of the semester. The rules are explained on the card. May the strongest Frisker win!
