New Friskis board
Our AGM was held last Wednesday, and a new Friskis board was elected for the coming year: Carlota (chairperson), Jannick (member) and Maximilien (treasurer). You can find their photos and the board's structure here.
We look forward to another year of Friskis under their leadership!
June 7 - Beersel sightseeing walk
Our Nordic Walking instructor Guy is organising a special 20km walk on 7 June (10am-4:30pm) from the Beersel plateau to the ponds of Sept Fontaines, via the Gothic Church or Alsemberg and the 16th century Herisem paper mill. The walk promises beautiful views and panoramas, a visit of the historic mill, and of course excellent company!
The walk is 5€ to cover the cost of the mill visit; for more information, you can find all the details about the meeting point and route here.
The walk is open to Friskis members and non-members who are accompanied by a member, so you are welcome to bring a friend! We would ask you to join the WhatsApp group and register via the PGM website or app so that the organisers know how many people to expect.
May 10 - Marché du Sport
On 10 May, we will be present at the Marché du Sport as part of the Fête de l'avenue de Tervueren to promote Friskis & Svettis. Do feel free to pass by during the day to say hi - there are also other activities on along the whole avenue, soit is a nice chance to learn about other organisations active in the area.
Free outdoor sessions + 20km Brussels
A reminder that our outdoor walking and running sessions are still free for non-members until the end of May - so there is still one month to bring your friends and family.
We will have a team of around 20 runners at the 20km of Brussels on May 31 - do feel free to come to cheer on our Friskis runners at the Cinquantenaire or along the route!
